His alarm clock said it was 4:04 am. Anders wasn’t sure if it was the dog barking next door or the strange girl sitting on his chest that had woken him up. He looked around blearily and tried to sit up but the girl put her hand on his forehead and pressed him back to his pillow. “Down, boy.”

“Who are you?” Anders asked, blinking the sleep out of his eyes. “How did you get into my room?” The girl squirmed a little on his chest. “Through the window, stupid. Not a trace of salt, not a clove of garlic. You even left it unlocked.” She shook her head. “Its like you wanted me to come crawling in. Oh…” She chewed her lip and closed her eyes.

“What are you talking about? Get the fuck off me.” Anders struggled, tried to throw the girl off him, but he felt like his body had been filled with lead. The girl laughed, deep and throaty. “You still don’t get it yet, do you?” Anders frowned. “Get what?” She smiled at him. Her lips were full and shiny with spit. The tip tongue of her appeared, red as blood, and ran the length of her mouth before disappearing back into its depths. “You, lady, are crazy,” Anders said. He reached over and grabbed his phone. “Now get off me or I’m calling the police.”

The girl laughed again. “A strange and attractive woman breaks into your room to have sex with you and your reaction is to call the police? Please.” Anders blinked. “Have… What?” A small groan slipped out of the girl’s throat. “Sex, you moron. We’re having it right now.”

Anders sat up a little and looked down at his chest. “No we’re not. You’re just sitting—” And then he saw it. The girl was naked from the waist down. From her crotch jutted a pulsating tendril, bloated and red like a coil of intestine. It was plunged into a gaping hole just below his ribcage, thrusting in and out of him, as thick as his forearm and rippling like an earthworm. There was no blood. Why was there no blood?

He tried to scream, but she covered his mouth with her hand. “Shhh… Just lie back and enjoy it,” she said. “You won’t have much time to, anyway.”

And then Anders saw the teeth emerge.
